Istmo Retreat & Adventures is a faculty-led program partner and retreat center in Panama, offering turnkey support for study abroad, short-term programs, and service-learning experiences. Located between rainforest and the Pacific Ocean, our 8-bungalow (24 bed) property provides a single home base for groups exploring Panama's biodiversity, engineering marvels, and indigenous communities.

With 20+ years of community partnerships and 75+ educational programs delivered, we handle logistics end-to-end—accommodations, locally-sourced meals, transportation, and culturally immersive excursions—so faculty can focus on teaching. Our programs connect students with Panama Canal operations, Emberá communities, tropical research, and more.
