International Sustainable Development Studies Institute (ISDSI)

Based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, ISDSI offers a number of experiential and field-based opportunities for undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty. These range from direct enroll semester and summer programs, 3rd party semester programs, faculty-led short-term programs and opportunities for field study and research. 

ISDSI's core values are sustainability, community empowerment and environmental and social justice and we are a member of the Community-Based Learning Collaborative. ISDSI's strong partnerships with local communities over the past 25 years are a key part of what makes ISDSI courses successful. We work together with local communities to help them tell their own stories thus providing deeply immersive experiences for our students.
